Sustainabuild teams up with The Verdancy Group to help close skills gap
Sustainabuild, the networking community for a net zero built environment, has announced a new partnership with sustainability training provider The Verdancy Group to improve access to the knowledge and network that individuals from across the sector need for the net zero transition.
With a shared common vision of a more sustainable future, the collaborators will improve access to training and information to help fill the green skills gap and help the industry move forward.
Sustainabuild is a networking community that brings together anyone interested in creating a more sustainable built environment from architects, and engineers, to housebuilders, construction managers, sustainability heads and ESG experts. Through regular events held around the country, it provides a platform for expert knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation for net zero.
The Verdancy Group provides sustainability training and environmental consultancy, supporting organisations, educational institutions, and communities in adopting greener practices. Its diverse portfolio includes CPD opportunities for sustainability professionals, accredited qualifications in domestic retrofit, and practical upskilling programmes in sustainable construction practices. The Verdancy Group focuses on delivering the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges of a sustainable future.
By working together, combining Sustainabuild’s network with The Verdancy Group’s expertise in sustainability training, the partnership aims to close the green skills gap by empowering individuals with the practical skills and knowledge they need to deliver sustainability in the built environment.
Matt Colgan, founder of Sustainabuild, said: “Sustainabuild is committed to creating solutions that serve both people and the planet. Partnering with The Verdancy Group allows us to enhance our existing education and learning offerings, and add valuable new practical and professional development paths for our community.
“Through this partnership we hope to inspire and train a new generation of sustainability leaders, who will turn knowledge into action, creating positive change for the future of building and construction.”
Steven Kiakowski, managing director of The Verdancy Group, added: “Partnerships are key to driving sustainability, and education is the foundation of a sustainable future. By partnering with Sustainabuild, we can broaden our impact and help bridge the gap in green skills, ensuring that individuals and organisations working in the built environment are equipped to meet the challenges that net zero brings.”
