Swan Group has appointed McTaggart Construction to deliver the project which is due to be completed in 4Q of 2025.

The developer successfully redesigned the original 100-unit consented designs to achieve the current 136-unit proposal, meeting PfP’s aspirations.

Phil McGinlay, managing director of Swan Group, said the company is looking forward to working alongside McTaggart Construction and Places for People to combat ever-present housing shortages and deliver essential housing to Glasgow.

He added: “Swan Group’s Royston Road development will be a great addition to Glasgow’s regeneration ambitions, offering residents direct and safe access to the city centre. We are delighted to see the commencement of works on site and is testament to the contributions from all our development partners. We are determined to ensure the continued success of this development through to completion.”

The homes will be a valuable addition to the supply of affordable housing in Glasgow and will provide a range of homes from apartments to family housing.”

This year has been productive for Swan Group, with construction ongoing at both Newhall Street and Royston Road. The group continues to progress other pipeline sites and opportunities with further sites commencing in the near future increasing the group’s national profile and helping to deliver high-quality housing. Progress has also been made on several pipeline sites including Bowling, Edinburgh Road and Corton, seeing the delivery of over 1,000 new homes.
