Taylor Wimpey marks World Book Day with donation to Letham Mains Primary School
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland marked World Book Day today with a donation of £500 to Letham Mains Primary’s school library.
Celebrating 26 years, World Book Day aims to encourage children of all ages to enjoy and appreciate the pleasures of all types of books.
Bruce Murray, head teacher at Letham Mains Primary, said: “World Book Day is a fantastic initiative which focusses on encouraging children to develop their enjoyment of reading as well as their appreciation of books. Thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s donation, we can add lots of different styles of new books to our school library, and this means every child can enjoy them in their own way.”
Kirsty McGill, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, added: “To mark World Book Day this year, we were delighted to support Letham Mains Primary with a £500 donation to provide a range of new books to appeal to all of the age groups that use the school library. We hope the pupils had a brilliant day celebrating their favourite books and characters, and that they all enjoy reading some new books together.”
