Two teams from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland took part in Taylor Wimpey’s annual challenge event, which raised a total of £116,000 for charity.

In total, 33 teams took part from across the UK with over £116,000 being raised for charity. The teams from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland – Ladies and the Tramps along with The West Wildings – raised £5,875.

Members of the team proudly wore T-shirts from the hospice throughout their gruelling two-day challenge, which saw them build their own shelter before trekking 26 miles through the incredible mountains of the Peak District.

St. Vincent’s Hospice located in Howwood, Renfrewshire aims to provide access to the best possible care and support to everyone living with a life-limiting illness in the local community. The Hospice has an Inpatient Unit with a multi-disciplinary team to offer the best care that it can; Community Nurse Specialists to provide care and support at home, and it provides a range of supportive services to patients and their families.

Siobhan Anderson for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and member of the Ladies and the Tramps team, said: “Without a doubt, this was one of the toughest Taylor Wimpey Challenges so far, but the sense of team spirit in both of our teams from West Scotland was incredible from beginning to end.

“It’s been a real test of endurance and teamwork, but the money we have raised for St Vincent’s Hospice has made it all so worthwhile. It’s always fantastic to see so many colleagues getting into the spirit of this event and having fun, all while raising much-needed funds for really worthy causes.”
