Taylor Wimpey wraps up consultation for new Monifieth proposal

Taylor Wimpey East Scotland plans to submit an application for Planning Permission in Principle to Angus Council next month after it completed two online public consultation events for the provision of around 40-50 new homes through the development of land at Victoria Street, Monifieth.

The proposed development is bound by the A92 to the north and Victoria Street to the south, with Taylor Wimpey’s almost completed Victoria Grange development nearby. It aims to provide a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, of which 25% will be affordable and will create a modest extension to its neighbouring development.

The digital consultations offered members of the public the opportunity to chat directly to Taylor Wimpey’s design team to provide their feedback and comments about the proposed development.

Land and planning director Pauline Mills said Taylor Wimpey East Scotland welcomes the opportunity to consult directly with the community of Monifieth.

Ms Mills added: “Public consultations are an excellent way for us to listen to the views of the community in which we intend to deliver new homes, and these online events have been an important part of the process as we refine our outline proposals to provide a modest extension to our current Victoria Grange development on the land at Victoria Street in Monifieth.

“We were pleased that members of the local community took the time to come engage with us on both public consultation events. We will now review all the feedback and comments that we have received in order to fully inform the design of our emerging masterplan for the development, before making our planning application for Planning Permission in Principle to Angus Council.”
