Teambuild charity seeks sector feedback as competition is paused for 2023

The popular UK construction industry competition Teambuild UK is undergoing a consultation phase following a highly successful event in 2022…
The charity Teambuild has enjoyed huge industry support for over 30 years. Its major competitions have attracted talented young professionals from leading UK construction firms with high profile names as judges at the event.
The competitors form teams to overcome the interdisciplinary challenges of major project delivery.
Patricia Bessey, chair, said: “Those challenges have not changed. Indeed given recent pressures upon the construction sector they have, if anything, grown.
“The world of work is changing fast, however, and therefore the way that teams can best engage to deliver their projects must change too. In this way, we can better meet Teambuild’s aims and the construction sector’s modern needs.
“To ensure that the competition meets the demands of a world and a sector in rapid flux, Teambuild is therefore pausing its event planning for 2023, so that the board can review how its future competition format can best meet the needs of the sector.
“This will enable us to ensure we continue to provide our young professionals with the skillset they require to serve construction in the 21st Century.”
Patricia Bessey added: ‘”At Teambuild we’re keen to hear views of all our stakeholders and we will be seeking input through a range of channels over the coming months. If you have any suggestions or feedback relating to the future iteration of the competition, please do get in touch with us at admin@teambuilduk.com.”
Teambuild said that it looks forward to advising industry stakeholders this autumn as to how the charity plans to move Teambuild forward.
