The UK Concrete Show 2023 show guide now available

The UK Concrete Show 2023 is celebrating its 11th anniversary on 15–16 March at the NEC in Birmingham. For over a decade, the show has been dedicated to the concrete industry in the UK and Europe, providing a 10,000m2 exhibitor hall, outside exhibition space, demonstration areas, educational opportunities and networking opportunities.

The new show guide is now available here

The 2023 UK Concrete Show is an ideal opportunity for both established brands and new enterprises to showcase their products. Maddie MacLallen, show director, explained: “The concrete industry never ceases to amaze us ̶from the innovation of new product launches and companies meeting global challenges such as carbon reduction and green technologies, to the reliability of long-established companies; these will once again come together at this year’s show.”

The show will bring the industry together, with support for businesses through networking and educating. Attendees will be able to watch as manufacturers and suppliers unfold ideas that they have been developing over the past few years – this is what drives us to deliver a fantastic show each year.

“The brainchild of the late Steven Callaghan, the show’s roots are firmly established in a lifetime of experience within the concrete industry itself. Because of this, it is our mission to offer a diverse and immersive experience for all attendees and by working closely with the exhibitors we have continued to develop ‒ and are ever improving ‒ the show’s format. We have gone back to basics this year, to ensure that we deliver exactly what the concrete industry has told us it wants, although we always manage to throw in a few surprises from some of our industry leaders,” Marianne Callaghan reports.

This year, the show will welcome newcomers including: Mortel Meister, Rakem, GPS Sprayers, Enviro-Vac, Polarmatic, Hoistech and One Link LCA, to name just a few. These newcomers will be joining show veterans: Danfords, CIFA, Cemex, Conspare, Coote Engineering, Practicon, Command Alkon, Haarup, Liebherr, Construx, KVM, BetonBlock, Euro Accessories, Conplex BV, Hydronix, Proctor Johnson, YB Fixings, Pressvess, Probst Handling and Siltbuster, in addition to other exhibitors.

Industry firsts

This year the show will feature a number of product launches. Sicoma will be launching a new mixer; Eurobend, a new wire mesh welding line; Masterscreed, a wall screeder; Hoistech, a new crane system; and a new concrete tool developed by One Link LCA. McPhee Mixers will be presenting the UK’s first electric concrete mixer truck, along with a new liquid colour system, which will be launched by Bay-Lynx.

Interactive immersive experience

A focus of this year’s event is to provide the visitor with a more immersive and practical experience, not only through live exhibits, but also from the brand new Innovation Hub and demonstration areas. Attendees will be able to experience technology from Masterscreed, Danfords, Mortel Meister, Cifa, IHS, Utranazz and more. The five-minute Pitch Arena brings product information from exhibitors directly to visitors. Following each presentation, a concise Q&A session will be held.

Industry awards

Industry awards will be presented at the end of the first day of the show, and include Best in Show 2023, Most Sustainable, Min-Train Safety and Best Newcomer. If you would like to be considered for an award, please submit your entry via the website: www.concreteshow.co.uk, or e-mail: concreteshowteam@gmail.com.

Education and inspiration

The show’s educational seminar programme brings together experts from around the world who pioneer and innovate emerging technologies, greener solutions, and products to help businesses achieve profitability and cost efficiencies. This is an ideal environment for attendees to learn and be inspired by all the industry has to offer. This year’s programme includes: ConSpare speaking on sustainability, software developers on the role of artificial intelligence in concrete, Min-Train on mixer-driver Standards, and the British Aggregates Association presenting on how it is supporting the concrete Industry. A full seminar programme will be published on The Concrete Show’s website. A visit to this year’s concrete event in the UK in 2023 is a must.
