Part of the team building nearly 600 new homes at Persimmon’s Boulevard development, near Pollock Country Park, Bryan McCann is currently assistant site manager – supporting the running of the development that includes two, three and four bedroom homes.

Bryan follows his father, Brian, and grandfather, Jack, in working with Persimmon. Dad Brian has been a bricklayer with Persimmon for over twenty years and currently works at the company’s Castle Gardens development in Cambuslang, while Grandad Jack was also a bricklayer and worked on Persimmon developments across Glasgow and West Scotland.

Bryan started out as an apprentice, working for his Dad, before studying at the City of Glasgow College and gaining an HND in Construction Management. Now a key member of the Persimmon West Scotland team, much of Bryan’s current role is focused on providing a first-class customer experience. That includes delivering services such as home demonstrations – showing customers everything they need to know about their new home – and supporting families throughout the move-in process.

Bryan said: “My family has had a great relationship with Persimmon over the years and being the third generation of a family to work with the same company must be pretty unusual these days.

“It was my Dad who encouraged me into the industry and to Persimmon and I haven’t looked back since. A big part of my role – and for Persimmon as a company – is ensuring customer satisfaction and I’m really enjoying working with families at our Boulevard development to show them our brilliant new homes and make sure they have a great experience with us from start to finish.

“Between them, my Dad and Grandad have spent over 22 years helping Persimmon build new homes and create communities across West Scotland and I’m hoping to add a good few more to that total.”
