Thompsons relocates to new Glasgow office
Thompsons Scotland LLP has relocated its Glasgow office to 70 Wellington Street.
The recently modernised and upgraded building is owned by Clydebuilt Limited Partnership, a joint venture between Ediston and Strathclyde Pension Fund.
The firm has leased 11,800 sq. ft. over the entire 5th floor and part of the 3rd floor, which represents a significant upgrade from its premises on Bath Street where it has been based for over 25 years.
The building has recently undergone a £2 million refurbishment which included the creation of a new entrance foyer, the replacement of glazing and curtain walling and the installation of new staff wellbeing facilities, including showers, cycle storage, drying rooms and EV charging points.
Sustainability has been at the forefront of the wider refurbishment at 70 Wellington Street reducing environmental impact and carbon footprint while boosting the local economy.
This move has been a project overseen by partners, David Martyn and Laura Connor.
Mr Martyn said: “Thompsons have been in the same premises in Bath Street for as long as they have had a presence in Glasgow. This move has therefore been very challenging but also very exciting. We are delighted to see our colleagues now settled into new, modern premises which support our visions of growth for the future.”
