Three Clark Contracts employees graduate with honours degrees in Quantity Surveying
Three Clark Contracts employees have graduated with BSc Honours degrees in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Colin joined the contractor’s Construction West division in 2021 as a trainee after completing his HND in Quantity Surveying at City of Glasgow College. Colin continued his studies, by completing his BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying, at Glasgow Caledonian University on a part-time basis, whilst working with Clark Contracts. So far, he has been involved in delivery of a variety of projects, most recently the refurbishment and extension of Galston Local Office and the construction of a new industrial unit within Langlands Commercial Park in East Kilbride.
Lauren joined the company’s Fit Out Division in 2021 after completing her HND in Quantity Surveying alongside Colin at City of Glasgow College, before completing her degree at Glasgow Caledonian University. Lauren has been involved in the delivery of multiple fit outs across the country including works at Quadrant House, Dundee and 53-68 South Bridge, Edinburgh.
Antony, who is a Quantity Surveyor within Clark Contracts’ Construction East division joined the business in 2022, two years into his degree, and completed the remainder of his degree on a part-time basis. During his time with the business, he has been involved in numerous projects, including the delivery of a 257-bed modular student accommodation project at Mayfield Road, Edinburgh and the construction of a new 25-unit housing development at Upper Langlee, Galashiels.
Gordon Cunningham, managing director, Clark Contracts, said: “We are extremely proud of our graduates and are delighted to help them further develop their careers.
“We offer a variety of routes into the industry and annually recruit modern apprenticeships, graduate apprenticeships, undergraduates, and postgraduates. Over the years, we have supported over 350 trainees with their studies and this year, we have welcomed 6 trainees so far and look forward to welcoming a further 12 over the summer months.
“We are also looking forward to celebrating our second batch of graduates later this year, who have been completing their studies under our graduate apprenticeship scheme.”
