Trio of appointments made to Savills affordable housing team
Savills Affordable Housing Consultancy has added to its expertise with three new appointments including from the Bank of England and a CEO from a recently merged housing association.
Alan Ward has joined as an associate consultant, Eleanor Hudson as a governance, risk and regulation consultant and Lucy Brown maintains her role as a business and project manager, transitioning to a full-time role within the Governance, Risk and Regulation department.
Alan has had plenty of experience in the sector prior to his new role at Savills, having worked as the chief executive at Silva Homes and as the chief governance and strategic growth officer at the Abri Group. He most recently worked on the completion of a new partnership between Octavia and Abri and will be leading on Savills’ expanding partnership and merger work, to support growth in the sector.
Eleanor previously worked in the Prudential Regulation Authority at the Bank of England for five years, initially joining as an Analyst then progressing to be a capital supervisor. Eleanor spent the majority of her time supervising a large bank, leading work across a range of financial and non-financial risks, and most recently focusing on regulatory capital. She’ll be involved in strengthening Savills’ sector-leading regulatory advice and assurance services, and will help to provide analysis and support across all work streams.
Lucy Brown starts her full-time role with Savills in its Governance, Risk and Regulation division, sustaining her position as a business and project manager. Lucy has previously been working at Savills, primarily within SHAPE (Savills Housing Asset Performance Evaluation), a business intelligence platform that measures assets against business objectives, to support long-term asset management. Lucy will work with Alan and lead in some aspects of Savills merger workstream.
Kelsey Walker, director at Savills Affordable Housing Consultancy, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming Alan, Eleanor and Lucy to the team. All three benefit from impressive backgrounds at relevant organisations and their skills help expand and deepen our support offer for housing providers across the country.”
Alan Ward, consultant director at Savills Affordable Housing Consultancy, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Savills. Having worked at housing associations previously, I’m keen to use my existing knowledge to support my new colleagues and expand our offer to clients interested in exploring mergers and partnerships.”
Eleanor Hudson, governance, risk and regulation consultant at Savills Affordable Housing Consultancy, said: “It’s a really important time to be joining the Governance, Risk and Regulation team at Savills. I can’t wait to get stuck into a role in housing and use my experience at the Bank of England to help our clients navigate the increasingly complex regulations in our sector.”
Lucy Brown, business and projects manager at Savills Affordable Housing Consultancy, said: “Having worked with Savills for some time, it’s great to be able to dedicate my role fully to the Governance, Risk and Regulation team. I’ve loved my part-time role during the last two years and my new expanded role will allow me to take more of a lead with new projects and get more deeply involved in merger and partnership activity.”
