Turner Property Services wins housing association reactive maintenance deal
Bellsmyre Housing Association has commenced a new partnership with Turner Property Services, which has been appointed to deliver the organisation’s reactive maintenance service.
The three year contract, worth £250,000 per annum, will run from January 22, providing multi-trade repair services to all Bellsmyre properties.
Bellsmyre, which is part of the Caledonia Housing Group, said that Turner Property Services fought off significant levels of competition in the open tender procurement process to win the contract. Its response stood out for its “tried and tested experience in the building sector, great reputation and references along with their local employment ethos and overall ability to provide value for money”.
Barry Johnstone, area director of Caledonia Housing Association, said: “Bellsmyre Housing Association have made significant progress in the past couple of years improving service quality and increasing tenant satisfaction. A recent independent tenant survey indicated improvement in all Scottish Social Housing Charter satisfaction indicators.
“The survey also highlighted that tenants identify reactive maintenance as the most visible and important service Bellsmyre provide. Accordingly we believe this new partnership with Turner Property Services will deliver further improvement, providing Bellsmyre tenants with a responsive and quality repairs service.”
Turner Property Services managing director, Craig Boath, added: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Bellsmyre Housing Association delivering a high quality repairs & maintenance service, enhancing the customer experience of the repairs service resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction. We offer a flexible appointment system to suit customers’ needs and are delighted to have employed local labour to deliver this service.”
