The masterplan by Keppie Design has been highly commended by South Ayrshire Council and Ayrshire Roads Alliance for its interpretation of the latest Scottish Government design guidance; Creating Places, Designing Streets and National Roads Development Guide.

The masterplan contains a mixture of high quality detached, semi-detached and terraced dwellings, surrounding a central shared activity space, providing a focal point and meeting place for all residents.

The aim being to create a safe and desirable people-focused community of landscape and buildings, where the streetscape is not dominated by vehicles.

The next step for the project is to engage with house builders and developers to ensure that the principles of the design are carried through to completion.
