Based in the firm’s Glasgow office, Paul joins from WSP where he managed the technical and commercial delivery of multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors including industrial, leisure and residential.

He has been involved in a variety of development infrastructure projects across the UK as well as in the Middle East. Notably, he led the infrastructure design for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Athletes Village and a multi-disciplinary team delivering Service Centres for central belt local authorities.

Paul’s experience extends to supporting major planning applications (such as for Pentland Film Studios, Midlothian & WaveGarden, Ratho) and managing public sector frameworks including Scotland Excel’s Engineering & Technical Services Framework.

Paul is further developing his professional standing with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

He said: “In 2018, ICE introduced a new route to professional qualification enabling a candidate to demonstrate his learning through experience to the appropriate academic level, then to follow that up with a career appraisal and professional review. I’m grateful to past and new colleagues at Waterman for providing me with the platform to get my nearly 30 years of professional experience formally recognised.”
