The new homes will be developed at a site on Barbuchlaw Burn and land south of Craiginn Terrace in Blackridge, south of Craiginn Terrace.

Having been granted permission in principle for the plans in December, Blackridge Developments returned with a detailed planning application, which West Lothian Council has granted matters specified in conditions.

The development will see 51 two-bedroom properties, 99 three-bedroom and 35 four-bedroom homes, car parking, open space, access and associated infrastructure including realignment of the Barbuchlaw Burn.

One in six of the new properties will have an electrical charging point for vehicles.

Head of planning at the council, Craig McCorriston, said: “The application is acceptable in terms of its layout and design.

“The proposal delivers the necessary affordable housing requirement.”
