Consulting civil, structural and conservation engineering practice Will Rudd has appointed senior team members in Glasgow.

Through internal promotions, Gerard Carson and Andrew Yule become associates after several years working for Will Rudd.

Gerard joined the practice’s Glasgow arm as a project engineer in 2017 and has worked on several notable projects, including the modernisation of Glasgow Subway and the conservation and sensitive restoration of several Grade A listed buildings. He then progressed to lead a team of engineers and technicians, delivering a broad portfolio of engineering projects across different sectors, and will continue to support the current team leaders and wider team members in his new role.

He has a particular passion for built heritage and conservation engineering, and will continue to be a practice champion for this area of expertise for which Will Rudd is well known.

Andrew joined Will Rudd in Glasgow in 2019 as a senior structural engineer and has worked on a number of significant civil and structural engineering projects across various sectors, including commercial, conservation, residential and healthcare. During his time with Will Rudd, Andrew has bolstered his own knowledge and experience both in traditional engineering techniques, advancing technologies and contractor design elements.

In his new role, Andrew will continue to oversee Will Rudd’s team of engineers and technicians. He will also be a SER Certifier of Design for Will Rudd, ensuring the successful delivery of projects with values in excess of £80 million.
