Work starts to create digital and business space at Pacific Quay

Refurbishment works have now started at The Hub at Glasgow’s Pacific Quay to further develop the building as one of the city’s best-known centres where digital innovation, creativity, media, and business converge to shape the future of Glasgow.

Led by property consultant MC2 on behalf of Zenca Enterprise, the transformation will see The Hub’s entrance become a welcoming environment for guests, with the building’s generous atrium area being fully re-modelled, creating defined spaces for informal meetings, town halls and social events. In addition, the building’s café will be relocated to the centre of the atrium to better service tenants and their guests and visitors.

Offering spaces from as little as 184 sq. ft. up to 25,000 sq. ft., The Hub’s refurbishment will ensure that the building evolves to support Glasgow’s reputation as a thriving creative, business and digital destination. Refurbishment works are due to be completed by Spring 2025.

Andy Cunningham of MC2, which has been appointed to market space at The Hub, said: “The Hub has always kept pace with rapid changes in tenant expectations and this refurbishment will ensure that the building remains best-in-class.

“As highlighted by the Scottish Cities Alliance, Glasgow has been recognised as one of the UK’s top 2 fastest growing tech investment cores. The Hub will be best placed to continue to attract digital, business, media and the creative sector, which Glasgow has traditionally excelled.

“Occupiers in these thriving sectors need welcoming, interesting space, where they are proud to bring their local and international networks, and which showcases their work and their sector. The new vision for The Hub will deliver fresh, contemporary space to the digital media quarter, which will support Glasgow’s reputation as a centre for digital media excellence.”

The Hub offers a targeted EPC A rating, an onsite building host team, 53 car parking spaces and feature terraces on first and second floors. It is easily accessible by public transport.
