WSP drives forward transport and infrastructure team with senior Glasgow appointment
Professional services and engineering consultancy WSP has strengthened its transport and infrastructure team with a new senior appointment that is set to head up the businesses growing local government opportunities.
David Stephens has joined WSP as head of local government in the company’s transport and infrastructure strategic business unit.
Based in WSP’s Glasgow office, David has been brought in to enhance the firm’s focused effort in this strategic market and further develop the £100million worth of local government work WSP already does across the UK.
Having spent 29-years in the industry, David has worked on some of the UK’s biggest projects and was previously the development director for the Europe state and local government business at CH2M.
David Stephens said: “After 14 great years with Halcrow and CH2M the next move was always going to be a big decision. Combined with the opportunity to develop a business focused on supporting our local government clients; it was WSP’s forward-looking culture that got me really excited.”
