Plans to build a new train factory at the site of the former Longannet power station have moved forward after councillors approved plans to redevelop the site.
Fife Council has approved plans for a new £500 million neighbourhood at Kingslaw in Kirkcaldy. Over a thousand new homes, a primary school, shops and a community centre will be provided by the new development.
Fife construction firms have learned how they can build their businesses by adding community benefits like training and employment opportunities to their tenders for contracts to deliver new affordable housing for councils and housing associations.
