Three construction firms have been fined more than £36 million in total for breaking competition law in supplying certain concrete drainage products for building projects following an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
Northern Ireland construction firm FP McCann is in advanced negotiations with Laing O’Rourke to buy its precast concrete manufacturing plant in Uddingston. It is understood that around 50 staff and assets at the site will be transferred across to FP McCann, and no jobs will be lost.
