Dundee architect Douglas Reid, who was involved in the creation and restoration of some of the city’s most iconic structures, has died aged 63. Mr Reid joined James F Stephen Architects in 1982 where he spent his entire professional career.

Planning permission has been granted for a new 60-bedroom residential care facility in Dundee. Work on the new facility, to be set in the grounds of Wellburn House on Liff Road, will begin in 2017.
