Kooltech is set to complete its acquisition by Wolseley after agreeing to dispose of its Aberdeen store amid competition concerns.

A proposed merger between two major air conditioning and refrigeration wholesalers could mean less competition and choice for customers in Aberdeen, the UK competition watchdog has warned.

Wolseley Group has signed an agreement to acquire Kooltech, one of the UK’s large air conditioning specialists, as it continues to increase its portfolio of suppliers and distributors across the UK. The deal is expected to complete in mid-2023.
