A £6.5 million project to create a major new heritage and nature park will bring together 20sq km of lochs, parks, nature reserves and woodlands between Glasgow and Coatbridge, Glasgow City Council's sustainability and the environment policy development committee has heard.

Greg Fitzgerald Morrison Construction, Morgan Sindall and Kier Construction have been successfully appointed to North Lanarkshire Council’s Schools and Centres 21 Phase 2 Framework.

The new, completed Maggie's Centre at NHS Lanarkshire has been unveiled by Reiach & Hall Architects. The centre is located within the grounds of Monklands Hospital.
