The construction of the new educational and community campus for Ardrossan is now expected to get underway in Spring 2025.

North Ayrshire Council has confirmed that a contractor has been appointed to carry out enabling works at the site of the new Ardrossan Community Campus.

The remediation works at the Ardrossan Coastal Quarter site have begun. Preparatory works began in September and the process of remediating the soil will begin this month.

The remediation works on the derelict former Shell Oil refinery in Ardrossan will begin in the coming weeks. North Ayrshire Council this week confirmed that Sanctus Ltd - which has worked on numerous brownfield and infrastructure programmes across the UK – has been awarded the £3 million
